I love soup all year round so I’ve put together recipes that I enjoy that have food chemistry and food combination to reduce cravings and increase metabolism naturally.
Lentils are nutrient dense and super yummy, meeting your bodily needs and your desires (even those flesh cravings).
The (healthy) carbohydrates in potatoes will keep you satiated for hours allowing your body time to digest this amazing dish instead of reaching for something that satiate your desires soon after eating- your desires will be met.
2 cups small lentils (I love red for this recipe)
2 medium potatoes (diced)
3 carrots (sliced)
7 celery sticks (sliced)
1 bay leaf
1 fresh dill
2 cans whole tomatoes
10 cups vegetable stock
1 bunch fresh coriander/cilantro
1 tsp pepper
lemon to taste
salt optional (if you’re already healthy/have no ailments to heal and are at an ideal weight, otherwise skip it)
4 Step Directions
1) In a large soup pot put a tablespoon of water and add carrots and celery. Saute until vegetables are tender.
2) Add the diced tomatoes (pour the entire tin contents in), bay leaves, lentils and stock.
3) Bring to a soft boil stirring occasionally until the lentils are soft, reduce heat and simmer
4) add fresh parsley and dill right before serving (so that they’re almost fresh and raw).
