Didn’t know there was amazing vegan food on the Gold Coast? Let me enlighten you!

I shared my first experience of Giri Kana Cafe with my sister and my two nephews. My sister and I have completely different tastes. I fell instantly inlove with these kofta balls. Love at first bite. I’ve had kofta balls before but I usually don’t chose them myself as I had never had a kofta ball like these kofta balls! Now I can’t stop thinking about kofta balls!

My sister on the other hand said that the salad (shown on the right side of this picture) was the best salad she had ever had. And she knows her salads- so I was impressed to hear that.

My nephew loved the veggie juice and the raw veggies best…

And baby James enjoyed the sago…

As did we all!

Wondering what Sago is? This sago is smooth, soft and creamy (coconut), dribbling with berries! Yum! I’ve been a fan of sago for more than 10 years now. It is so good!

Giri Kana Cafe is a vegetarian cafe with plenty of vegan options. Every thing we ate and that is shown in the photographs are vegan- They’re all also gluten free.

There is only so much that we could fit on our table let alone in our bellies but there are loads of amazing sweets to try and lovely raw food options too.

An average meal is around $15.

Organic coffees $3.80.

Smoothies $7.

If you would like a quick take away meal and you’re in Southport… this is the place to go! Salads and hot food are pre made and ready to dish up (with a consistant turnover to ensure freshness) or a fresh juice or smoothie to take back to work. Alternatively if you’re not needing take away and just want to dine on the best salad ever or the best kofta balls ever!!) or to order a burger from the menu for breakfast, lunch or dinner then it is a lovely place to sit, eat and laugh over a delicious meal! Family friendly with warm and helpful staff. I’ll be back there for sure!
