Low fat smoothie recipe for kids

Super Green Smoothie created especially for Toddlers and Mummies (but absolutely anyone can enjoy it)

Bananas are easy to find at the store, really easy to store at home and easy to serve. Baby spinach is also easy to find and store. Both are an excellent source of nutrition for toddlers which is one of the reasons that I have chosen them both for this smoothie recipe. Another reason is that together they are vibrant together and many toddlers love green. It’s currently Evers favourite colour. And the final reason is that this smoothie is so simple, and you busy mamma, deserve truly simple, nourishing, delicious recipes for you and your family.  


Plant based smoothies may be introduced to your child as early as 4-6 months old. Ever first tried her first smoothie when she was around 10 months. It’s best to wait until your baby is asking for food for you to start them on solids.
Bananas contain vit A, C, E, folate, niacin, calcium, zinc and more in smaller portions. When selecting bananas for smoothies chose ones that have black spots and are easy to peel.  


Baby spinach contains vitamin A, C, b6, iron, magnesium and calcium in abundance and is sold ready to blend.
Children love sharing food with loved ones and this is a great recipe that you can make together and enjoy together while reaping the full health benefits.

Ingredient:
2 frozen bananas (thawed for 5 minutes)
1/2 cup baby spinach
1/2 cup water
1 cup ice

Blend for up to 60 seconds.
